A private dinner party, held at AZUR, the “James Beard” award winning signature fine dining restaurant at the La Quinta Resort & Club.
The party took place on Monday, November 12th, 2007 during the International Foodservice Manufacturing Association Presidents Conference. AZUR is located at 49-499 Eisenhower Drive in La Quinta, CA (5 -10 minutes from the hotel). La Quinta Resort & Clubs have served as a Hollywood hideaway, serving top celebrities for nearly 80 years.
Appetizers, Cocktails and live music began at 7:30 p.m. poolside at the spectacular Eisenhower Presidential Suite and Gardens, where President Eisenhower frequently stayed. Ike’s Eisenhower Suite is loaded with the former president’s personal effects and memorabilia. Dinner served on the scenic outdoor Garden Patio, of the award wining Restaurant AZUR which is nestled at the foot of the Santa Rosa Mountains.
The resort plants 80,000 flats of flowers twice a year. Guests from all over the world consider this casual, yet elegant oasis their ideal getaway.
We had the opportunity to meet Chef Withrow. Chef Withrow offers "California-international cuisine." The chef's French-European inspired cooking methods combined with a variety of California fresh seasonal products, as well as international imported delicacies create his signature cuisine.
The restaurant's extensive wine list has been noted by Wine Spectator magazine and offers vintages from around the world.
